Do the official pages include hints?
No. How to play explains colors only. These four layers are written here from the seeded recipe, and the layout is the last layer on purpose.
Why not use the word orange alone?
High contrast mode on the official client turns a correct slot orange and a wrong-slot ingredient blue. Read the icon or the word, not the hue by itself.
