Minecraftle solver
Copy each submitted guess and its normal-color feedback into the 3x3 grid. Add guesses in their original order to filter all 132 recipes in the snapshot checked 2026-10-24. Guess processing runs locally; guesses are not sent to a solver service.
Gray is not an ingredient ban. Extra copies can be gray after the needed quantity has been matched. Keep empty slots empty and enter their feedback too: unsuccessful guesses show gray empties; a winning guess shows nine greens.

How the filtering works
Green ingredient matches take priority. The client chooses the placement with the most matching ingredients, using the first placement to break ties. Orange is then assigned in row order, up to each material's remaining count. Empty positions do not score green on a failed guess.
Every candidate carries its surviving placements into the next guess. The solver does not switch between incompatible shifts or mirrors to explain different guesses. One official exception comes first: completing any accepted placement of the correct recipe wins immediately, even if that placement was pruned earlier.
The current shapeless recipes each use a single ingredient. Like the official client, this solver applies shifts and horizontal mirrors to their stored pattern rather than inventing an arbitrary-permutation rule. Vertical flips and rotations are not added.

FAQ
Does gray mean that material is absent?
Not necessarily. The client assigns green matches first, then orange up to the remaining quantity. An extra copy can be gray even when the recipe uses that material. Empty slots are gray on unsuccessful guesses.
How are shifts and mirrors handled across guesses?
The solver replays the client: maximize ingredient-position matches, break ties by its variant order, and keep only layouts with the chosen green mask. Each next guess uses those survivors, not a fresh set of layouts. A complete correct recipe is checked before this pruning and turns all nine slots green.
What about shapeless recipes?
The official client applies the same shift and horizontal-mirror routine to every recipe, ignoring the shapeless flag. All five shapeless recipes in this snapshot contain one ingredient, so all nine positions are accepted. No general arbitrary-permutation rule is added here.
Does this solver call the official game?
No. Guess processing stays in your browser using the recipe snapshot checked 2026-10-24. If the official pool or client changes, results may differ until this solver is updated. Use normal colors: gray, orange and green, not the high-contrast palette.
